This jack plate works great. One issue with my Mercury 25hp four stroke though. You can not tilt the motor all the way up . Only to the first catch. The tiller handle support hits the jackplate handle. This is not really a jack plate problem but more how this motor is built. If you are a good DIY’r you can install yourself. Don’t ndedstand why it is not welded together though instead of held together with bolts. I used it today for the first time and it definitely did what I needed it to do. I would pur hase it again. May upgrade next year and add the electric unit.
Good quality and construction, if you get the jack plate dont forget the spacers
Very high qualility!
Hey guys. Just installed the jack plate on my Tracker Grizzly 1648. Overall great product. Nice machining, fit and finish. A few suggestions. Let people know that they will need a large drill to drill the holes for the mounting hardware. I had to break out my 1/2" drill to get the job done. Next explain which end of the jack uses small spacers the other end uses the thicker ones. Last explain why you would use any of the three hole choices on the jack mount. I figured it out. I wanted max lift. A few better illustrations would help too. I know its hard to please everyone. Thanks for a great addition to my boat.
